WLAN-Spectrum#01
Time: 09:30-12:00, May 14, 2025
Venue: Conference Room E210, Shenzhen-Hong Kong International Science and Technology Park, Futian District, Shenzhen
Introduction to the Working Group:
The WAA Spectrum Research Group focuses on WLAN spectrum usage efficiency and interference issues. Its main research directions include:
-Multi-device interference problems faced by WLAN in unlicensed spectrums of 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz
-Degradation of transmission quality caused by the shared use of the 2.4GHz band with devices such as Bluetooth
-Interference issues in high-density deployment environments due to limited domestic 5GHz spectrum resources (only supporting 6×40MHz or 3×80MHz channels)
-Impact of spectrum utilization differences between different WLAN standards (such as IEEE 802.11ac/ax) on network performance
-Effects of unlicensed device interference, co-frequency interference from multiple WLAN devices, and spectrum efficiency issues across different standards on network performance
Main Agenda:
- Confirmation of working group members and representative list
- Usage of the 5.4GHz spectrum
- Usage of the 60GHz spectrum
- Coexistence and efficiency of WLAN in-use spectrums (2.4/5.1/5.8GHz, etc.)
- Open discussion
