ODCCN Visits Comentropy to Advance In-Depth Collaboration

The Trade Development and Standards Cooperation Organization (ODCCN), along with a delegation from the Commercial Industry Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), visited the Shenzhen Comentropy Industry and Standards Innovation Service Center today. Both parties convened a thematic seminar at the Hetao International Organization Headquarters to engage in an in-depth exchange on standardization development and its role in driving industrial growth.

This event brought together leading experts in the field of standardization. Participants included Cui Gang, former Deputy Director of the National Standardization Administration; Yao Xin, Secretary General of ODCCN; and Wang Shichuan, Deputy Director of the National Center of Standards Evaluation of the State Administration for Market Regulation (Technical Barriers to Trade Notification and Review Center of the State Administration for Market Regulation) at the National Standards Technical Review Center. These senior experts provided valuable insights into advancing standardization reforms and innovations.

During the seminar, both ODCCN and the Comentropy Service Center presented overviews of their respective organizations, followed by an engaging interactive discussion. The participants focused on the critical role of standardization in fostering regional economic development. Yao Xin, Secretary General of ODCCN, remarked: “Amid new challenges in the global trade and economic landscape, strengthening standardization cooperation plays a vital role in promoting trade facilitation, which aims to simplify and harmonize international trade procedures.” Yang Tao and Hou Yan of the Comentropy Service Center emphasized their commitment to leveraging the platform’s strengths to drive the implementation of meaningful collaborative projects. Luis Jorge Romero, Chief Strategy Officer of the Comentropy Service Center, shared cutting-edge trends in standardization from a global perspective.

The successful hosting of this seminar marks the beginning of a new phase of strategic collaboration between the Trade Development and Standards Cooperation Organization and the Comentropy Service Center. Moving forward, the two parties will deepen cooperation in areas such as standardization research and talent development, jointly supporting the high-quality advancement of standardization efforts in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
